These earrings are colorful pieces of fine hand made jewelry. This pair features dazzling southwestern Pueblo Indian style inlaid designs. They feature hand cut stones of quality genuine Abalone Shell. These post earrings are 1 1/4 long. Abalone Shell- ItÆs the shell that houses and protects the univalve gastropod mollusk commonly known as the Abalone. The animal has been nicknamed the Sea Ear because its shape resembles the shape of a human ear. The shell has a Mother of Pearl lining and dazzling natural colors that make it valuable as a gemstone. Nine separate species of Abalone live in North America: Black, Flat, Green, Pink, Pinto, Red, Threaded, Western Atlantic, and White.
